Food Magazine hosted the Food Challenge Awards, which recognises and rewards food companies for product innovation and excellence in their chosen field. The awards now in their fourth year and are supported by a vast array of food companies, from the small family owned businesses to the multi national companies.

This product came about after a discussion between friends about the lack of a true Aussie BBQ sauce. Beerenberg decided that a sauce made with Coopers beer would be uniquely Australian. The result - a sauce with a malty flavour and a rich, fruity, spicy taste and is currently the only sauce on the market with 40% ale as itfs first ingredient!
The Wrest Point Royal Hobart Fine Food Awards, organised by the Royal Agricultural Society of Tasmania, are one of Tasmaniafs key events in the culinary calendar. Held each August, entries have grown continuously since 1996. Entries for the Awards come from all over Australia, and include well known makers and producers as well as cottage craft producers.
